Racism Untaught

In a semester long analysis on racism in design, my group studied and rebranded Mrs. Butterworth’s Syrup. The previous packaging personified harmful stereotypes of Black women in the kitchen and archaic labels. We set out to not only redesign the brand identity, but make reparations for the damage perpetuated by the influence of this product.
